The audio launch of Manicam Narayanan's Seventh Channel Productions' Vithagan was a star studded affair at the Satyam cinemas on Sunday morning.

The song release was held in a novel way, with a giant gramophone shaped contraption wheeled on centre stage and with each song disc in the shape of an LP record, released and received individually by two sets of celebs. So Harris, Gautham Menon, Ameer, AL Vijay and Vivek released one song each, which was each received by Amy Jackson, Madhumitha, Sneha, Dhansika, Iniya and Rohini respectively.
Joshua Sridhar, the music director, who has Veppam to his credit, was absent since he was out of town. Four songs and two trailors were screened. The film marks the debut of Parthiban's son Raki in a song sequence, and is a cop story, with Parthiban acting and directing. Poorna plays the love interest and Milind Soman, the villain. Singer Sriram has also acted in a strong role.
The gripping trailers were fast moving and slick and drew the appreciation of one and all. Manicam Narayanan welcomed the celebs and grew emotional in his speech. Parthiban said, "I am so happy today that I am at a loss for words. I want this film to be a huge hit as a gift to my producer."
Harris said, "I am very tired after the concert but I came because of Manicam sir. We worked in Vettaiyadu Vilayadu and he is very close to me. Joshua is very talented and I know him from 15 years. The distribution rights of this magnum opus is reportedly sold to distribution giant Sun Pictures. The previous ventures of both Gemini Circuits( Ninaithale Inikum ) and Shankar(Endhiran) were under Sun Pictures Banner. Nanban has got bigger with Sun Pictures joining them. Election for Tamil Nadu Producer council was held today. K.R, Dr.Srinivasan and S.A.Chandrasekar had contested for President Post. Though the competition with K.R was tough S.A.Chandrasekar won the elections with good margin.According to reports K.R was defeated by S.A.Chandrasekar by 24 votes margin.

The actor has now done a short role in Malayalam superstar and one of the finest actor's in Indian cinema Mohanlal's 300th film, Sathyan Anthikad directed Snehaveedu.
In Snehaveedu, Appukutty has done some comedy scenes with Mohanlal.
He plays the caretaker of Mohanlal's farm in Attapady area of Kerala bordering Tamil Nadu. The scene between the two is really hilarious, as wild elephants attack the farmhouse.
For Appukutty it was an opportunity to work with the legendary actor and confesses that he was all in awe of Mohanlal's acting and comedy timing.
