Tamil Nadu Film Small Producers Press Meet event was held at Chennai recently. Producer Muktha Srinivasan, Jayachitra, Keyaar and other kollywood stars graced the event.

Sneha has opted out of Superstar Rajinikanth's Kochadiyaan directed by his daughter Soundarya.

Sneha has cited "date hassles" as the reason for dropping out of the movie.

An now, Soundarya the smart girl that she is has roped in Rukmini to play the pivotal role of Rajinikanth's sister in the film.

Remember Rukmini a dancer debuted with Bharathiraja's Bommalattam ?

Meanwhile, Sneha has signed another film titled Haridas opposite villain turned hero Kishore, which will be directed by GNR Kumaravel.

I will continue acting – Ananya

 

South Indian Ananya, whose engagement concluded recently, has earlier said that she might not continue her acting career post marriage. But now, she says she will continue acting even after marriage as her fiance believes, marriage cannot be a reason to prevent success in her career.

The cute actress has more movies lined up now including Nadodi Mannan, Achan Balan Makan Bheeman, Ameya, Masters, Mullamottum Mundhorichaaraum, The reporter, etc.

Mahesh Babu’s Six Pack cost Rs 1 Cr!!

 

Sources close to the star, the script inspired Mahesh Babu very much that he has agreed to come out of his comfort zone. A particular scene in the Sugumar film requires the protogonist to sport a six-pack body. Mahesh plays the role of a lecturer in the movie, while Tamanna plays his love interest.

Though Mahesh tried to get the sick pack abs earlier with the help of local trainer, he called off his plans after noticing the changes on his face. But this time, he has hired a hollywood trainer Greg Joujon Roche for a whoofing Rs 1 crore. Greg Roche would be working with Mahesh for a period of four months to get the perfect look. Notably, the trainer has assured the Superstar that there will be no loss in the facial charm of the actor. That's the story of '1 crore – 4 months' deal!

The D-day For Kollywood

 

It is a very significant day in Kollywood as all those concerned with the progress of their respective films are looking forward for the FEFSI strike to end. The talks between the FEFSI and the Producers' Council did not yield any results when the Tamil Nadu government called the representatives for a meeting.

The pay revision issue was not resolved at this meeting as expected and it was advised that the representatives meet again on February 9th. The D-day has arrived and the entire Kollywood is keeping its fingers crossed.

Siddharth signs a film with Vetrimaaran?

 

Tamilkey caught up with Siddharth amidst the actor's busy KSY promotional activities. The actor expressed that he might soon be working with National Award winning director Vetrimaaran post 'Vada Chennai'!

When quizzed on how he is seeing his comeback in Tamil cinema and what kind of projects he is looking for, pat comes the reply, "As an actor I am expecting a lot from KSY because I haven't done many Tamil films. I play a youth in this film and I hope I can work on many more Tamil projects post this film. I might be working with Vetrimaaran for a film".

Siddharth currently has bilingual 'Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi' that is also releasing in Telugu as 'Love Story'. The film is a soft romantic entertainer that showcases what a couple goes through post a break up.

Ileana faces trouble from producer

 

Ileana the hottie from Shankar's Nanban seems to face some serious trouble. Initially it was Ileana who was supposed to play the role of Anushka in Vikram's Deivathirumagal.

AL Vijay the director of the movie first signed Ileana for the project, the producer of the film Mohan Nadarajan paid a huge sum of 40 lakhs in advance.

But Ileana walked out of the project and has not even returned the money till now says the producer. So he launched a complaint with the Tamil Film Producers Council but then also there Ileana didn't respond back to them it seems.

So now the producer has taken the case to the Indian Film Chamber Of Commerce and has asked them to resolve the issue. Cine circles wonder why the leading actress is creating a bad image for herself.

Dhansika, Sivakarthikeyan teams up in Machan

 

The word Machan might be associated with Namitha, but it's Dhansika who will be acting in a film with the title.

According to reports, director Sakthi Chidambaram has always had Namitha playing important roles in his films. But this time, he seems to have taken her famous dialogue as the title for his next film.

'Dhansika plays the lead role in the lead in Machan. Sivakarthikeyan is likely to play the hero in this project.'

Dhansika is awaiting the release of her period film by Vasanthabalan, titled Aravaan.

Trisha says she’s ready to act with all heroes

 

Trisha finds herself on the wrong side of the twenties. The actress, who would turn 29 in a few months' time from now, is said to be running out of time to bag offers to play lead roles in Tamil and Telugu films. The reason is simple: most of the upcoming heroes in Telugu and Tamil appear to be younger than her and as such, produces and directors are reluctant to sign up Trisha to play the lead role in their films.

Trisha had a solitary release last year in Ajith's Mankatha where she wasn't the sole heroine. She had to share screen-space with three other heroines and an 'item girl' from Bollywood. At present, she has only one Tamil film on her hand which is Samaran opposite Vishal, a film which has a young and curvaceous Sunaina as the other heroine, underlining the fact that Trisha is not getting the solo-heroine projects any longer.

A few years back, Trisha had gone on record saying that she would be starring only opposite young heroes and that it'd be a strict 'no-no' to star opposite senior heroes except superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan. She, however, starred opposite Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi in Telugu but hesitated a lot in starring opposite the likes of Sarath Kumar, Vijaykanth and Arjun in Tamil.

Though she starred with Kamal in Manmadhan Ambu, she wasn't the heroine opposite him. She has now said that she was ready to star opposite any hero, irrespective of his age. Desperation and the need to sustain her in films for a long time might have forced her to make the statement, observers point out. Trisha's decision to relax her 'policy' might see her soon pairing up opposite the likes of Sarath Kumar and Vijaykanth.

"If the script and my character in it are good, I won't have any problems in starring opposite any hero; as such, I won't bother as to whether the hero is young or a senior one," says Trisha.

Bhavana in love with Rajeev Pillai

 

Rumour mills in Kerala are working overtime that Bhavana is in love with actor and Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) hero Rajeev Pillai, who has been selected twice for the coveted 'Man of the Match' title.

However, the 'Aasal' actress is on a denial mode. "I met Rajeev Pillai only during the CCL matches. I know him well. But it is not true that we are in love," says Bhavana, who is one of the brand ambassadors of Kerala Strikers.

She adds: "Leave alone Rajeev, I am not in love with anyone. As the brand ambassador of Kerala Strikers team, it is my inevitable duty to go to stadiums and to cheer the players. I am just doing my duty. That's it."

Bhavana, a popular actress in Malayalam, is a popular name in Kollywood and Tollywood as well. Some of her noted films in Tamil include 'Chithiram Pesuthadi', 'Deepavali' and 'Kizhakku Kadarkarai Saalai'.
