The actor also promised many entertaining songs and movie in future . Vijayalakshmi sheds her nice girl image

 

Vijayalakshmi who shot to fame with Chennai 600028 , was waiting for a good offer for while after her earlier movies bombed at the box offfice. She has bagged C.S.Amudhan's next movie titled "Rendavadhu Padam", where she is said to perform off beat role . Vijayalakshmi is known for her girl next door looks but Rendavadhu Padam will have her playing the glamour quotient with right proportion .The movie also stars Vimal,Aravind Akash and Richard in lead roles .

Ram Charan Tej, Tamannaah visit Tirumala

 

Actors Ram Charan Tej and Tamannaah, who were in Tirupati for the shooting of their latest film Rachha that is progressing at the scenic Rayala Cheruvu tank, offered prayers at Tirumala Lord Venkateswara temple on Monday night.

Speaking to the media, Ram Charan Tej, who got engaged to Upasana Kamineni of the Apollo family, later said that his dad Chiranjeevi would announce the date of his marriage soon. "The marriage will be in Hyderabad and a big reception will be held in Tirupati," he said.

Velayudham still running in a good number of cinema halls

Vijay's Deepavali gift to his fans 'Velayudham' has completed its 50-day run in the box-office. Claimed as one of the biggest hits of the Ilayathalapathy, the film is still running in a good number of cinema halls.

Says a trade analyst, "Velayudham came at a right time when Vijay's fans were waiting for a commercial hit. In the recent past, Velayudham can be claimed as the biggest grosser for Vijay. The initial days saw repeat-audience."

Produced by Aascar V Ravichandran and directed by 'Jayam' M Raja, 'Velayudham' has Hansika Motwani and Genelia D' Souza as heroines. Says a Vijay fan, "The film was a Deepavali dhamaka for us. It had everything we expect out of a Thalapathy movie."
Vijay Antony's songs and state-of-the-art stunt sequences turned out to be the highlights of the movie. Thanks to all these things backed by aggressive promotions in media, 'Velayudham' has emerged as one of the hits of 2011.

Vallinam faces problems during shooting

 

The film which was originally titled as Acham Thavir was later changed to Vallinam, directed by Eeram fame Arivazhagan Venkatachalam with Nakul and Mridula in the lead.

The film is said to revolve around sports. First the makers of the film ran into crowd trouble with students attempting to get autographs from Nakul when he was preparing for the shoot, they were subsequently prevented in doing so from the crew of the film prompting a student protest.

Also it's heard that the team worked for 72 hours without break for a particular scene which was shot near the Chengalpet railway station.

Now they say that shooting is going in high speed without any problems. Vallinam is produced by Aascar Ravichandran. It has music by Thaman S and cinematography handled by Vijay Ulaganathan

Language is not a barrier to me, says Genelia

 

Actress Genelia D'Souza has opined that language never plays an important role as far as her choice of films was concerned. "Acting is all about emoting and I don't thing it could be restricted by any linguistic barriers. If I like the script, I'm ready to act in any language," says the chirpy Genelia.

Goan girl Genelia has made it big in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. Her latest outing in Tamil was the Deepavali release Velayudham in which she paired as one of the two heroines opposite Vijay. At present, she has a Telugu film and two Hindi films in various stages of production.

She has refuted rumours that as she hasn't got enough offers in Tamil, she has decided to concentrate fully in Hindi movies. "I have said this before and would like to reiterate it again: I have no language barrier at all as far as taking up film offers is concerned. I have played various kinds of roles in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Hind films. If the roles offered are good enough, I won't even negotiation of my fee.

"Commitment and dedication are the twin traits of success; unless one works extremely hard, it's very difficult to earn money, name and fame. I earnestly believe I have been doing so in the past few years. As far as my marriage to Ritesh Deshmukh is concerned, I would like to say that I don't want to discuss in public matters which are too personal and which are held close to my heart. We're just friends," she concluded.

Aravaan Movie Online – Preview

 

Making period movies is no easy task. But filmmakers like Vasanthabalan could be an exemption to this, for he managed to capture even the busy Ranganathan Street with all its liveliness in his last venture 'Angadi Theru', which is tougher than making a period film.

Gaining strength from the movie's success and the appreciations it won from all sides, the former associate of director Shankar has started 'Aravaan', a film set in the backdrop of rural Tamil Nadu in the 18th century.

Produced by T Siva of Amma Creations, the film has Aadhi of 'Mirugam' and 'Eeram' fame in the lead role, with Dhanshika (of 'Peranmai and 'Maanja Velu') and Mollywood import Archana Kavi as heroines.

Pasupathy is playing an all-important negative role in 'Aravaan', based on a critically acclaimed novel, while the film marks popular singer Karthik taking the avatar of as a music composer for the first time.

"Aravaan means an all-powerful person, who possesses 32 features in him. He is capable of doing anything. Aadhi is tailor-made for the role since he is the Hrithik Roshan of Tamil cinema," says Vasanthabalan.
