Vikram takes on Surya

 

Two of the superstars of Tamil film industry are ready to clash on small-screen. The duo, who was seen together in award winning film Pithamagan, will be in the war of TRPs in the coming months. Yes, Vikram and Surya, the two actors known for varieties, will be hosting television game shows soon.

It is well-known that Surya is making his small-screen debut with Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi, the Tamil version of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Now, a popular channel has approached Vikram to host a similar kind of game show, which tests participant's general knowledge.

It is reported that Vikram, who is fully busy with his films, is keen to take up the project but the actor is not sure whether he can allot the required number of dates for the show and devote himself for the TV program.

Karthi as Alex Pandian!

 

Karthi's current project on hands is a film directed by Suraaj. The director had made films like Padaikkathavan in the past. The Karthi starrer that he has been working on for the past few months was progressing without a title.

The buzz now is that the film has been titled Alex Pandian. It is said that Karthi's character in the film is called Alex Pandian and hence it has been use it for the title as well. The film has Anushka pairing up with Karthi for the first time. Devi Sri Prasad has scored the music for Alex Pandian.

Sarathkumar daughter’s open talk

 

Sarathkumar daughter Varalakshmi is currently pairing with Simbhu in the film Poda Podi. When asked her that why there is a delay in the release of this film, she said, "The director is very keen that the film should come out well.

We have already shot in foreign locations. Only three song sequences are remaining to be shot. Once this is completed, the film will be released. Apart from this, I am debuting as an actress in this film. So there is nothing wrong to take some extra efforts. Apart from this there is no other reason for the delay. People are asking me that how was my experience with Simbhu and the shooting in London.

I have studied by MBA in London, because of this I am very familiar with the streets and roads. When we were shooting there, I had a feel as if the shooting is taking place in our streets. Simbhu is a very friendly person. He will expect perfection in makeup and action since he is also a director. While acting, he will give lots of tips.
He is very dedicated. If the shot is good, he will never hesitate to appreciate. I am donning the role of a dancer in this film. I am well versed in Bharatanatyam. I am also an exponent in all the dances including salsa. I have been learning dance from my very young age."

Kollywood girls are lousy junks : Ramya Nabeesan

 

New entrant Ramya Nabeesan, who has done very few movies like Kullanari Koottam, has declared that the girls who are working for Kollywood now are just lousy junks as they are not beautiful enough!!!

When asked for more details, Nabeesan said "These women do not have a sexy looking curvy structure. I manage and maintain it with me. This structure was gifted to me by the LORD – the way he manufactured me. I am ready for glamour and other such stuffs."

Afraid reporter questioned back, whether she will be another sex bomb in Kollywood. For this she replied "No… not like that, I will do glamour in such a way that entire family can watch all those movies of mine."

Surya and Venkat Prabhu New Movie with Muktha Entertainment

 

 

Muktha Srinivasan and his brother's son Muktha Govind have begun a new production unit by name 'Muktha Entertainment (P) Ltd'. The unit has planned making of three mega ventures per year. Suriya's next has been confirmed. He will be teaming up with director Venkat Prabhu and the film will be produced by Muktha Entertainment Pvt Ltd. Venkat Prabhu's Mankatha starring Ajith and Trisha took a grand opening last year and the director's status went up with this film. There are a lot of expectations to know the star cast and the genre of this film. All details will be revealed very soon, say sources. In the mean time, Venkat is preparing to get the project on the floors as soon as Suriya returns from Matraan.

Who is Alagu Raja ? Karthi or Surya?

 

Jil nu oru kadhal, Paruthiveeran, Paiya fame Gnanavel Raja of Studio green productions is again back in action with the title Alagu Raja .

Sources close to the banner reveals that the tiltle has a mass appeal and has been registered by Studio green.

Kollywood grapevine is abuzz that Karthik will be joining hands with laugh riot specialist Rajesh and the film will be titled 'All In All Azhagu Raja'! Now, isn't that one fancy title?

Karthi says, "My next film will be with Rajesh and I gave the go head after I was impressed with his one line narration ,it will definitely be high in humour.

I think the producer is trying to register this title since it goes well with the script".

Now the production house has registered the title and the question is that the tiltle is registered for Surya's upcoming flick or it is Karthi 's upcoming flick.

Both the films are under production and the guess is that it belongs to whom. So let us wait and see who grabs the tile Alagu Raja.

Sivakarthikeyan's next is machan

 

Sivakarthikeyan is enjoying his new avatar as a kollywood star. Director Pandiraj identified his talent, Marina's success just proves his star power . He has currently some promising ventures in his kitty. It is said that apart from Dhanush' 3 and Ezhil's Manamkothi paravai he has been roped in to play protagonist in Sakthi Chidambaram's next venture titled Machan which will have Aravaan's love lady Dhansika sharing screen space. Adding more , the star has also signed a movie with his long time friend Atlee Kumar who worked with for a couple of short films with him . It is worth mentioning that Atlee Kumar has worked under ace director Shankar for many films including Endhiran and Nanban.

A movie on the filmdom always attracts the attention of the audience. From Server Sundaram till the recent Dirty Picture, movies taking a look on the travails of filmdom and film personalities have ended up as talking point.

A sneak peek into the life of an actress would garner more attention. Here comes Oru Nadigaiyin Vakkumoolam that takes a look at the troublesome life of an actress in Tamil cinema. Directed by Rajkrishna, it stars Sonia Agarwal as lead protoganist. It bares various truth. It speaks for actresses, but sadly only in parts.

Story
The movie begins with a search by a television journalist (Punnagai Poo Geetha) for an popular actress Anjali (Sonia Agarwal), who suddenly vanished from public life when she was in limelight in Tamil cinema.

Anjali was the number one actress when she disappeared. The journalist begins her search and meets her family members, directors with whom Anjali worked. She understands that their selfish nature would have prompted Anjali to go in a hiding. She succeeds in tracing Anjali. Now a flashback is narrated on Anjali's troublesome life.

Anjali (Sonia Agarwal) was brought up in a poor family by Devaraj (Yogi Devaraj) in Andhra Pradesh. He is a stage actor living in poverty. Turn of events lead to Anjali's mother challenging villagers that she would make her daughter a heroine and copmes to Chennai. She comes to Kodambakkam. The search begins. The reality starts to bite. Anjali is made to undergo lots of compromise and sacrifice a lot. Anjali becomes popular and starts making huge money. The attitude of her mother changes. Anjali becopmes a puppet in her mom's hands. She undergoes lots of emotional and physical abuses to stay afloat in the industry. She realises there are lots of selfish people around her including her family. All people want bfromm her is money and body. This prompts her to take extreme step.

Performance
It's Sonia Agarwal's special show. She is right there giving right expressions. The sorrow is bropught out well through her eyes. Punnagai Poo Geetha's cameo is good while Girija does her role as Sonia's mom well. Ganja Karuppu plays a brief role and he fails to tickel our funny bone. Yogi devaraj plays his part well as a desperate father who wants to help her daughter suceed in life. The likes of Manobala, Kovai Sarala and Nicole are wasted.

Technicalities
The movie has cinematography by Naga Krishnan. He captuures the tinsel town at close quarters. His lens is brihgt and colourful. Music is by newcomer Aadhish and the theme song is peppy and good. Unfortunately the editing by BS Vasu is a huge letdown. The movie is lengthy and specially second half needs to be trimmed. Rajkrishna has tried to touch a sensitive theme. But sadly it is not detail and is a cliched ride.

Analysis
What begins on a brisk note, loses steam. The title aroused a lot of curiosity, sadly it went missing in the movie. Had the movie been made more crisop and not so suggestive, it could have been more entertaining and engagin.

Ashok back with an intense love story

 

Ashok is one of K'town's talented actors but success seems to have eluded him! After a gap, he is back in an intense love story Vetkatthai Kettal Enna Tharuvaai in which he is paired with Sandalwood actress Krithika. Popular lyricist Tabu Shankar makes his debut as a director with VKET.

Talking about the film, he says, "It's a love story on a different note. It deals with the problems faced by lovers viewed in a unique manner." Kanja Karuppu has been roped in for comedy.

Ashok hopes that this film will give him his long-awaited break. "I play a famous artist in the film — he falls for a girl and sincerely showers affection on her.

One day, she ditches him saying that for her, his money is more important than his love. My character has several shades to it and I am confident that it will be noticed." Imman composes the tracks.

Yuvan ‘s special song in Billa 2

 

Billa 2 the upcoming film based on the Don's earlier life is said to carry a painful and powerful storyline.

Yuvan Shankar Raja the music director of Billa 2 has recently said that he has come out with a melody song which will be on the lines of his evergreen chartbuster songs form movies like 7G Rainbow Colony, Kadhal Kondein.

The song is said to repeat Yuvan's yesteryear magic once again. Also no one can erase the classic melody of Yuvan, Ajith combo song 'Solamal Thottu Sellum Thendral…' from the movie Dheena.

Sources say that Ajith has performed some pump action stunt sequences without using any body double.

The songs of Billa 2 songs will be released by April and the film is fixed to hit on May Day marking Thala Birthday !
