Dr.Kalaignar saw his grandson Udhayanidhi Stalin’s ‘OKOK’

Udhayanidhi Stalin is the grandson of the Ex-Chief Minister and politician Dr.Kalaignar (M.Karunanidhi) and the son of Ex-Deputy CM Mr.Stalin. Udhayanidhi Stalin made his debut as hero through the film 'Oru Kal Oru Kannadi' ('OKOK').

'OKOK' features Udhayanidhi Stalin, Hansika Motwani, Santhanam and Saranya Ponvannan. M.Rajesh has written the story and directed it. Udhayanidhi Stalin has produced the movie under the banner Red Giant Movies.

'OKOK' was viewed by many cinema personalities and was very much appreciated. Recently, a special screening of this film was organised for Dr.Kalaignar at the Prasad Lab in Vadapalani, Chennai. Dr.Kalaignar was accompanied by his spouse Rajathi Ammal.

Director M.Rajesh and Udhayanidhi welcomed them. They viewed the film and enjoyed it very much. Once the film screening was over, Dr.Kalaignar appre ciated and congratulated Udhayanidhi Stalin and the team of 'OKOK'.

Superstar Rajinikanth and Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan are the most celebrated stars of this generation. They have been good competitors and very close friends ever since they started acting simultaneously.

In spite of being good competitors, they have acted together in few films like 'Apoorva Raagangal' (Rajinikanth's debut film), '16 Vaydhinilae', 'Avargal' and many more films.

'Ninaithale Inikkum' featured Kamal Hassan, Rajnikanth, Jayapradha, Geetha, Nakul, Sarath Babu, S.Ve.Shekhar (debutant), Jayasudha, Subhashini (debutant and sister of Jayasudha), Geetha and Narayana Rao. It was directed by K.Balachander, Guru (mentor) of many of the above mentioned artists.

M.S.Viswanathan scored the Music of this film. It was released on 14th April, 1979 during Tamil New Year and became a super duper hit. It had many super hit songs like 'Namma Ooru Singari', 'Nizhal Kandavan', 'Ninaiththaale Inikkum', 'Palavanna', 'Aananda Thaandavamo', 'Barathi Kannamma', 'Inimai Nirainda Ulagam', 'Kaaththirunthen', 'Sambo Sivasambo', 'Thattiketka Aalillai', 'Yaathum Oore' and 'Engeyum Eppodhum'.

'Ninaithale Inikkum' is little more special. As this was the last film that featured Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan together for the last time. After that, in spite of repeated attempts by many people, they did not act together.

Kochadaiyaan to hit the screens during the month of September

The shooting of the film Kochadaiyaan which has Rajni in the lead role is going on in top gear. The cast and crew of Kochadaiyaan has returned from London after completing the first schedule of shooting.

The next schedule of shooting is taking place in Kerala. Rajnikanth and Deepika Padukone is participating in this shooting. Sarathkumar, Shobana, Nasar and Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff are also starring in this film. Rajni's daughter Soundarya is directing this film.

Director K S Ravikumar is supervising the direction. Rajni had earlier announced that Kochadaiyaan will be released for Deepavali but the production house as announced that the film will be released in September itself and because of this Rajni fans have become cheerful. Apart from Tamil, this film is also being released in Telugu, Hindi and English languages. Since Rajni has fans in Japan, the film is also being dubbed in Japanese language to be released there.

Yuvan Shankar Raja dances in Billa 2

Yuvan Shankar Raja is the busiest music composer these days. He has been composing music for most of the films. There is a great demand for his music among the youths. For the first time, Yuvan appeared on the screen and sang a song in the film Punnagai Poove.
