Badri is directing this film. Shiva is donning the role which Rajni donned in the original version while Prakash Raj dons the role of Thengai . Isha Talwar dons the role of Madhavi while Kovai Sarala dons the role of Sowcar Janaki.

Now it is understood that Power Star Srinivasan will be donning the role of Nagesh. In the film Thillu Mullu, Rajni will be with a moustache in some sequences and without moustache in some sequences. Rajni will do this because of Nagesh's instigation. Nagesh role in this film has significance and because of this everyone is surprised because Pow er Star is donning this role.

It seems that you have donned the role of a blind man. Are you donning dual roles in this film?

Dual role. All this are suspense. Though I am donning the role of a blind man I will be doing all the work of a normal person. I have taken special training for this.

What is that training?

Daniel Kish is an American who has lost is eyesight in his child hood days itself. He ha d practised human echolocation. Human echolocation is a technique of detecting objects, their position and sound by sensing echoes. He is living like a normal person. Cinematographer Nirav Shah who has heard about this person has mentioned this about to director Vijay. Only after this we developed this blind man character. I met Daniel Kish and took training from him for two weeks.

Even in Kasi, you had donned the role of a blind man.

In Kasi, I donned the role of a blind man and sang songs but in this film I have acted in action, chasing and fighting sequences. Mammootty has donned the role of a police officer in more than 30 films but each will vary from one another. In the same way I have also shown a difference in this film. I can show variety in other six or seven films as a blind man.

How has the film come out?

This will be an important film in my career. There is a big star cast consisting of Anushka, Amy Jackson, Latchmi Rai, Saranya, Santhana m, Nasar, Jagapathy Babu, M S Bhaskar, Sayaji Shinde, Delhi Ganesh and Kotta Srinivasa Rao. G V Prakash's music has come out well. Amy Jackson has excelled in the action sequences. This film has a different story. It has all the commercial ingredients such as romance, sentiment, comedy and action.

Now the film Thuppaki which has Vijay- A R Murugadoss combo is being produced. The film Alex Pandian which has Surya brother Karthi in the lead role is being directed by Sooraj. This film will be clashing with Thuppaki.

The problem related to the title of Thuppaki has not been resolved. The case is pending before the Court. The case which was posted to 10th September has been adjourned to 17th September. It has been decided to release the audio CD of Thuppaki if the title problem is resolved on 17th September.

திரிஷாவும், தெலுங்கு நடிகர் ராணாவும் சமீபத்தில் நடந்த விருந்தில் பங்கேற்றனர். இருவரும் தனிமையில் நெருக்கமாக அமர்ந்தபடி பல மணி நேரம் பேசிக் கொண்டிருந்தன.ராணாவுக்கும் த்ரிஷாவுக்கும் நிச்சயதார்த்தம் நடந்துவிட்டதாக ஏற்கெனவே செய்திகள் வெளியாகியுள்ளன.நெருங்கிய உறவினர்கள் மட்டுமே பங்கேற்ற இந்த நிச்சயதார்த்தத்தில், த்ரிஷாவுக்கு ராணா மோதிரம் அணிவித்தாராம். ஆனால் த்ரிஷா இதை மறுத்ததோடு, நாங்க இன்னும் ப்ரெண்ட்ஸ்தான் என்று கூறி வருகிறார்.
