Come March and it will be the exam season and producers will not opt to release their big films during the month. Since the board and semester exams commence, there will be low occupancy in theatres since it's the youth who form a major chunk of cine-goers in the state. Undeterred by this fact, Ramanarayanan's banner is releasing John Carter — Maaveeran, the Tamil dubbed version of Walt Disney's visual splendour John Carter, which is made at a whopping budget of Rs 1500 crores in 120 screen in Tamil Nadu on March 9. Says the ace director/producer to DC, "The kind of audience who watches Hollywood dubbed special effects movies are totally from a different class. With its spectacular visuals and extraordinary genre, I am confident that the movie would run to packed houses for a week, which is enough to get back my investment."
