Producer Muruganandham who produced Vaagai Sooda Vaa after its utter flop found himself in troubled waters. Vimal hearing this news in order to help him returned back the salary of Rd 50 Lakhs that he has taken for this film.

Though he was having insufficient funds, Vimal signed for two new films and with the advance he got, he returned the money to the producer. Apart from this, he has asked the producer not to worry and said that he will act in his next film free of cost.
