It is said that Genelia is being considered as Dhanush's arm candy in Mareesan. The film is to be directed by Simbu Devan, the director who had directed films like Imsai Arasan 23aam Pulikesi, ad Irumbukkottai Murattu Singam.
There are reports that Genelia may be signed up as the heroine for this film. Dhanush and Genelia had starred together in Uthama Puthiran already and their onscreen chemistry was impressive.
Dhanush is currently busy with 3, a film directed by his wife Aishwarya Dhanush and he will move on to Mareesan after completing this assignment first. Mareesan, which is a period flick set in the 12th century, is to be produced by UTV Motion Pictures on a whopping budget of Rs. 30 crores.
