MaattrraanFEATURE EXCLUSIVE: FINEST REASONS WHY YOU SHOULDN T MISS MAATTRRAAN

It's high time for Suriya fans as they curiously awaiting the year's most anticipated flick 'Maattrraan'. Suriya films always arrive with specialties and this one is not an exception. Of course, we needn't drive you for yet another hackneyed establishment of the film's theme and its uniqueness.

We bring you some of the exclusive reports about the film that has more reasons to tell why you shouldn't miss this film.

Firstly, it's Suriya and Suriya alone. It's not an easy task to play such role as none of the Indian actors have attempted before (Yes, Priyamani's Charulatha is based on the similar theme, but Maattrraan has something more offer in the arenas of action, dance and performance).

The scenes involving the conjoined twin brothers in action and dance sequences will let audiences feel that they are no more watching the dual roles, but a single Suriya.

Take a sneak peek into some of the distinctivenesses of Maattrraan.

TECHNICAL GOLD RUSH

Maattrraan

becomes the first Indian film to make use of Performance Capture Technology.

Around 400 CG technicians have worked to give perfect touch to the graphic quotients.

This is something more of an unparalleled attempt. Since Suriya plays conjoined twin role, the entire film had to be shot twice. Say for instance, if a scene involving Agilan is canned, the same scene would be shot after few days with the same lighting set up equipped with 5 cameras. Thanks to Srinivasan Mohan for delivering a magnificent output with the graphic works.

EXOTIC LOCALES TO OFFER VISUAL TREAT

The film has been shot extensively across the locales of Chennai, Pondicherry, Ooty, Mysore and Hyderabad, Chenrayapatnam, Pune, Rajasthan and many more places in India. This is the first film in the world to be shot at the virgin locations of Latvia.

THE MUSICAL GRANDILOQUENCES OF HARRIS JAYARAJ

What makes Maattrraan song so special? Ask Harris Jayaraj and he extends his praises to the five lyricists– Na. Muthukumar, Pa. Vijay, Vivega, Thamarai and Madhan Karky, who have embellished his musical score to a greater magnitude. So, what's the cherry-pick amongst these chartbusters? It's Harris' newfangled composition of 'Kaal Mulaitha Poove' tuned in Russian genre.

Apart from these highlighting factors, the film boasts of top-notch attributes that include spellbinding cinematography, brilliant CGs and jaw-dropping stunt sequences.

The film is scheduled to hit screens on October 12 with Eros International releasing it worldwide.
