Ajith is one of the important personalities in Tamil film industry. Rajnikanth who was a bus conductor became an actor by his own efforts. 1. He made his debut as an actor in the year 1982 through the Telugu film Prema Pustagam.

2. In Tam il he made his debut as hero through the film Amaravathi. After this he continued to act in many films including Paasamalargal, Pavithra and Rajavin Parvaiyile.

3. Ajith was thirsting for success. His thirst was fulfilled through the film Aasai directed by Vasanth. This film was produced by Manirathnam.

4. Though he had acted in many films after this, he became one of the leading actors after acting in the hit films like Kadhal Kottai and Kadhal Mannan.

5. Kadhal Mannan is a film which had Ajith in the lead role. This film was released in the year 1998. Ajith earned numerous fans because this film turned out to be a super hit.

6. He paired with Shalini in the film Amarkalam. Romance blossomed between the two. He married her in the year 2000. Anoushka, the cute angel was born to this star couple.

7. He will not have any title as prefix to his name but director Saran gave the title as Ultimate Star when Ajith acted in the film Amarkalam. Recently when h e had acted in the film Asal, Ajith had asked to remove that Ultimate Star title.
