Kamal because of his continuous commitments was not able to act in the remake of this film.
Now there is confirmed news that Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Nasar, Prasanna, Radhika Sarathkumar and others are starring in this film. Sarathkumar is donning an important role of traffic police. It was expected that Rajesh Pillai who had directed the Malayalam version will direct the Tamil version also but Rajesh is not directing the Tamil remake because he will directing the Hindi remake of this film. Now Shaheed Kader who was the assistant of Rajesh Pillai will be directing this film. Radhika Sarathkumar is producing this film in association with Stephen.
