Kaniha makes a strong comeback

 

Kaniha is making a strong comeback to Malayalam films after her marriage and motherhood.

In fact her comeback film was Bhagyadevatha which was a hit.

She is now become hot as she is one of the heroines in Cobra with Mammootty and Lal in the lead. She has signed Ranjith's ambitious project titled Spirit opposite Mohanlal and Prakash Raj.

Ranjith is undoutedly the hottest director after the mega successes of his last three projects, Thirakatha, Pranchiyettan and The Saint and Indian Rupee.



Arya-Santhanam team up for Delhi Belly remake


Arya-Santhanam, who were last seen together in Boss Engira Baskaran, will be teaming up again. The duo is reportedly joining hands for the remake of Bollywood movie Delhi Belly.

Reports say that the makers of the film have zeroed in on Arya and Santhanam for the lead roles. Though, the actors are yet to sign the project, they have liked the script and keen to act in the remake of Delhi Belly.

It was earlier said that Jayam Ravi and Naga Chaitanya were likely to star in Tamil and Telugu versions respectively. However, as the plans got changed, the movie bosses have decided to start the Tamil version first and offered the lead roles to Arya-Santhanam.

However, the Tamil version of Delhi Belly is produced by UTV Motion Pictures and directed by Kannan of Vandhaan Vendraan fame.

Aishwarya Dhanush all excited about ’3′ in Hindi

 

With Kolaveri Di becoming such a phenomenon across not just India, but the whole world, it is only obvious that expectations are running sky high with regard to the movie 3.

The Tamil movie is being dubbed simultaneously in Hindi.

Aishwarya Dhanush, the director of the film says, "Shreya Ghoshal is on board for the Hindi version too. We are in talks with other B-town singers as well including Adnan Sami and Vishal Dadlani."

The petite director reveals, "Resul Pookutty has come down for the re-recording and we are all neck-deep in work. We're hoping to wrap up post production work soon and the movie will mostly hit theatres by the end of March."

Suriya-Kajal Aggarwal starrer Maatraan shoot is on despite the strike

 

Similar to how the shooting of Billa 2 continued despite the unofficial strike that has been going on in the Tamil film industry, here is yet another film Maatraan, which is being canned despite the many odds.

The much-awaited film is being shot in Hyderabad at Film City.

Maatraan features Suriya and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead and is being directed by K.V. Anand, who has given blockbusters like Ayan, Ko earlier. Touted to be one Suriya's biggest releases, Maatraan is produced by AGS Entertainment.

While the entire K'wood industry has come to a standstill due to a tiff between the employees union and the Tamil Film Producers Council, the fact that Maatraan shooting has still been going on in Hyderabad has raised many eyebrows.

Close sources to the production house cleared the apprehensions saying, "When we shoot in Film City in Hyderabad, as per our contract we can use their equipments and employees that work for them. We have avoided employing technicians who are part of the strike."

Also, it was said that they could not miss out on Suriya's dates, which was allotted long ago.

‘Karnan’ re-releasing in digital format


The mythological flick 'Karnan' is being re-released in digital format by Divya Films. Produced by B.R. Pantulu, the film of epic proportions starring Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan, Savithri, Devika and Ashokan was released in 1964. Sivaji Ganesan played Karnan.

According to Shanti of Divya Films, lakhs of rupees have been spent on digitizing the film to enable the younger generation to see the Karna character in the epic 'Mahabharata'. The digital technology has added to the grandeur of the film and every scene looks dazzling, she says.

The trailer of the digitized film will be released on Feb.21.

Ananya to go ahead with her marriage proposal

 

The dramatic changes in the marriage events of actress Ananya have been very interesting. Two weeks ago, there was a betrothal for Ananya with a Kochi based entrepreneur. She said she would continue her acting stint provided she got the consent from his fiancé. However, some days ago, there was a charge against Anjaneyan, the pro-hubby to Ananya, that he had been already married and has been facing divorce. Another story surrounded that Ananya's parents preferred to make a complaint with the police. But now things have turned out in favor of Anjaneya that Ananya has neglected the first marriage episode. It seems that she will go ahead with the proposed marriage with Anjaneyan. She said it all matters for her personal life and no body can intrude into others' private life. If at all any dispute or controversy arose, she would manage to overcome and settle them, she said. To another query, she said there is no basis in the fact that she had been kidnapped and kept under house arrest. Ananya said if this had been true then how she could go to the floors of local shooting. Any how, Ananya has shut the windows of flames in her marriage proposal but full details would emanate soon.



Ileana inks two-film deal with UTV

 

'Asku laska ' girl Ileana D'Cruz, who is making her debut in Bollywood with Barfee, seems to be looking out expand her base in the Hindi film industry. The Goan actress has reportedly inked a two-film deal with UTV Motion Pictures, which is producing her first Hindi film.

The latest buzz is that Ileana's professionalism and dedication have impressed the bosses of UTV Motion Pictures. This has made them to offer her two films, which will be made on their banner in the coming months. They are expected to make an announcement soon.

Meanwhile, Ileana, who was dragged to a controversy by producer Mohan Natarajan over monetary issue recently, has her hands full. Apart from Barfee, she has Allu Arjun's Honey, and two Bollywood films: Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai 2 and Khilaadi 786.
