Surya ready to become junior artiste for Shankar

 

Director and actor SJ Surya's respect for ace filmmaker Shankar was witnessed by Coimbatore audience at the audio launch function of forthcoming Tamil movie Nanban, as he claimed that he was ready to become a junior artiste for the Endhiran creator.

Praising Shankar to heavens, SJ Surya, who has done a cameo in the upcoming Tamil movie, said that the Nanban director should be adored for his work ethics. He also spoke high about the Anniyan director's ability to deliver hit after hit. Surya concludes on the note that the forthcoming Tamil movie would be a blockbuster.

SJ Surya will be seen in two scenes in Nanban. The movie, which is releasing for Sankranthi, also features Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth, Ileana and Sathyaraj in the key roles.

Goa seems to be the hottest destination among south stars.
Trisha is heading with her group of friends Sidney, Lakku, Hema and others to the beaches of Goa. Silambarasan left Chennai on Christmas eve for Los Angeles, where he will be bringing in the New Year with his buddies.

Selvaraghavan who is shooting with Anushka and Arya in Ramoji Rao Film city, Hyderabad is planning to celebrate New Year on the sets. His wife Geethanjali may fly in for the celebrations. Hansika who has just completed a song with Udhay Stalin for OKOK in Jordan plans to chill out with her friends in Mumbai.

Reema along with her fiancee Shiv Karan Singh is also heading to Goa with a group of friends from Delhi. They have roped in Telugu superstar Ram Charan, Rana and Shriya.Sonia Aggarwal has backed out of her Goa trip and plans to party with her friends and family in Chennai.

For the Kolaveri couple Dhanush and Aishwarya who are busy with 3 post production work, New Year is always double whammy as January 1 is Ash's birthday. They plan to celebrate the day with family and close friends at home.

Vijay who is shooting for AR Murgadoss's Thupakki in Mumbai, is planning to fly down to Chennai to bring in the new year with Sangeetha and the kids. Ajit and Shalini has already taken off to Singapore where they plan to celebrate the new year.

Amala Paul is on a vacation to an undisclosed destination where she will be unwinding with her family. Kushboo has taken off to Kuala Lumpur with her kids, while Lakshmi Rai will be performing for New Year eve in London.

Shruti along with her mom Sarika and sister Akshara are also off to Goa to usher in the New Year. Jayam Ravi and wife Aarthi if they manage to get a break from the shoot of Ameer's Aadhi Bhagavan are also heading to the beaches of Goa .

Harris Jayaraj and wife Suma has decided to stay put in Chennai near their loved ones, go to church for midnight mass and have a quiet New Year bash at home.

Vikram defends Laddu Laddu song in Rajapattai

 

The audiences are livid and critics have pointed out that the best and most hyped song in Rajapattai, "Laddu,Laddu.." placement in the end, as the end titles start rolling is a downer.

They feel the song which was picturised on Vikram and two hot babes Shriya and Reema Sen was wasted.

Before the release of the film, the song tuned by Yuvan Shankar Raja was being hyped by director Suseenthiran.

The Yuvan Shankar Raja song sung and picturised on Vikram and two hotties, shot in exotic locations of Italy was said to be one of its highlights.

However, Vikram has gone out of his way to defend the song. Says Vikram: " In the film Anal Arasu the character I play dreams of making it big as a hero in films. The song came in the end of the film to justify the point that he lived his dream."

Can anyone suggest title for Karthi!

 

Normally a movie is promoted on the very first day itself by projecting its title and cast. it could be possible for change of title as the movie making proceeds. Of late there are some movies which are on the shooting spots and floors, which do not have the title.

For actor Karthi, this situation has happened. He has completed major portions in Saguni, directed by the debutant director Shankar Dayal. This film has Mumtaj in a brief role and revolves around political gimmicks. In the meantime, Karthi is said to have made a parallel presence for a movie directed by Suraj. This film is produced by his family member Gnanavelraja for Green Studios.

The entire crew is gathering after New Year Day for moving towards Courtallam. Suraj said he has planned to finish the shoot at single strike and will come back. The irony is this film is yet to be titled with. Usually Gnanavelraja makes a lot of promos for his movies. But for this movie he is not able to since it doest not have the title. Karthi and Suraj are on the look out for a suitable title. Can anyone suggest them with a title?

Rana to go on floors after Kochadaiyaan

 

While the whole country is waiting to know about Rajinikanth's much awaited Rana, here we bring you the breaking news! Director K.S. Ravikumar has confirmed to a leading daily that the film will go on floors immediately after the completion of Kochadaiyaan.

Rana is a big-budget action flick in which Rajni plays triple role. Unlike Muthu and Padayappa, Rana is a period flick! The roles involve intense physical activity like horse riding and each costume weighs around 25 kilos. The film has Bollywood diva Deepika Padukone as the leading lady and Sonu Sood plays the baddie. Oscar winning musician A.R. Rahman will compose the music while Ratnavelu handles the camera. The film is jointly produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth and Eros International.

It is said that in Rana, not a single frame can be shot without the Superstar.
