Vikram's Thaandavam

 

Chiyaan Vikram's upcoming bilingual venture with Director Vijay has been titled Thaandavam. UTV Motion Pictures's Thaandavam is said to be a commericial action movie from Vikram-Vijay combo who delivered runaway blockbuster, "Dheivathirumagal" for the same banner . Apart from Vikram ,Thaandavam also stars Anuskha , Amy Jackson , Santhanam and other reputed and hot favourite artists . Talking about the technical team the movie will have Nirav Shah handling the camera ,Editing department will have Ace Editor Antony handling the cuts while Nagu will take care of Art and G.V.Prakash is all set to tune for this flick.Since it is a action flick the movie is all set to have breath taking action sequences by Hollywood Stunt Choreographers.Thaandavam will be a 2012 summer release both in Tamil and Telugu. Meanwhile,UTV Chief Dhananjayan Govind had Chiyaan fans engaged with microblogging site for the title guessing contest that he had organised on behalf of the production company .

Porali theatre trailer cut released!

 

The first look, songs and trailer cut of Sasikumar's Company Productions Porali, will be out in theatres from Yestrday (November 6).

In Porali, Sasikumar and his favourite Nadodigal director Samuthirakani, are together again.

Sasikumar plays hero, along with Swathi, , Allari Naresh and Nivetha. The film has music by Sundar C Babu.

Says Sasikumar who had grown his hair long for the film and is seen in different get-ups : "Porali is based on what happened to a friend of mine. Finally, I'm glad that it is making it to the theatres by the end of the month."

Porali is crucial for Sasikumar and his banner as their last film Easan was a failure. The Rs 12 Crore Porali is scheduled to release on November 25.

Aishwarya plans to Release Audio Soon

 

Aishwarya Dhanush is glowing with utmost pride, joy and excitement, as she gets ready for the last and final schedule of her ambitious film 3.

The buzz is that one of the highlights of 3 are the songs composed by debutant Anirudh.

There are six songs in the album and a big music company has shown keen interest to grab the audio rights at a very big price.

One of the songs in the album, a melodious number is sung by the new sensation Mohit Chauhan who has sung all the songs in AR Rahman's Rockstar including the
Saadaa Haq number. Another song is rendered by Dhanush and heroine Shruti Haasan.

Anjali to star in Murugadoss’ next venture as well?

 

Ace director A.R. Murugadoss debuted as producer with the recently-released Engeyum Eppodhum which starred Jai, Anjali, Ananya and Sharwanand in lead roles. The film, made with a small budget, ended up in creating huge impact among the audiences. Saravanan, who had earlier worked under Murugadoss as an assistant director, debuted successfully with this film as a director.

As always, Anjali had done her character admirably well. The lovely lass had mentioned at the audio launch of Engeyum Eppodhum that given an opportunity, she was always ready to do a film for Murugadoss Productions. In fact, Anjali uttered the same words at the audio-launch of Aravaan directed by Vasanthabalan as well. Balan made Anjali a household name with his last year's super-duper hit film Angaadi Theru.

Buoyed by the success of Engeyum Eppodhum, Murugadoss is said to be planning to make another film, again in association with Hollywood's Fox Star Studios. One of the assistant directors who assisted Murugadoss during the making of his latest directorial venture 7am Arivu (which released on Deepavali) would be directing the proposed film, it is learnt.

Soon after listening to the script, Murugadoss asked his aide to start the project as soon as possible. Though the hero is yet to be decided, it's highly likely that Anjali would be playing the heroine in the film. This has also been conveyed to the actress, who glows with the happiness of getting another opportunity to work with a director of Murugadoss' caliber.

Simbu, Amala Paul in ‘Vada Chennai’

 

STR's next is confirmed. It's the long awaited 'Vada Chennai', to be directed by Vetrimaran of 'Polladhavan' and 'Aadukalam' fame. The film which will have Amala Paul as the leading lady will hit the floors early next year, once the actor completes his commitments, including 'Vettai Mannan' and 'Poda Podi'.

"In fact, Vada Chennai was the script that Vetrimaran wanted to film as his debut venture. But fate had it that he marked his entry as a director with Polladhavan and went on to make Aadukalam. Now he is all geared up to start Vada Chennai with STR in the lead," say sources.

Kishore, who is an inevitable part of Vetrimaran movies will play a crucial role in Vada Chennai too, with Tollywood actor Ram doing another important character. "The script will give enormous scope to Simbu to show his acting skills on screen. The star is impressed," they add.

It is learnt that Amala Paul, who is busy in Kollywood and Tollywood with multiple projects, allotted dates for 'Vada Chennai' despite difficulties since she thoroughly enjoyed listening to the script and her role in it. She will also be part of a Suriya-starrer to be directed by Hari.

Amala Paul opposite Surya

 

We had earlier reported about Hari and Surya plans about Singam's sequel , now the project is getting shape with Amala Paul confirmed as Surya's love interest in this movie.A section of media had denied about the Amala Paul's involvement in this project but later it was informed by her manager that the actress was not sure about the movie details, since she was away from country shooting for Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal . Industry experts feel that Amala Paul's carrier graph will be all time high with this project .

Rajapattai Kerala rights sold

 

We had earlier reported about Sun Pictures bagging the distribution rights of Rajapattai, The latest we hear is that Kerala rights of Vikram starrer Rajapattai has been sold to Thameen Films for a record price of Rs. 1.5 Crores .It is worth mentioning that Thameen Films is distributing Velayudham which is doing good business in Kerala. Directed by Suseenthiran , the audio of Rajapattai by Yuvan Shankar Raja is expected to release soon. Celebrations for Vikram fans have already started .
