Finally, Vasantha Balan's biggie, 'Aravaan' is hitting the screens this February 24! The film which was earlier slated for a February 10 release has now been pushed to February 24. It's a period flick that features Aadhi, Pasupathy, Dhansika and Archana Kavi in lead roles with Bharath and Vasantha Balan's lucky mascot Anjali in cameos.
The film was recently censored and was certified a clean 'U' and was also exempted from the entertainment tax (30%) which is a huge boon for the film! Recently 'Nanban' was exempted from this tax. As per the new rules from the TN government, a movie applying for tax exemption should have a 'U' certificate from the Regional Censor Board and should keep within Tamil culture and sensibility.
The film is based on Su Venkatesan's novel 'Kaaval Koottam' and will mark playback singer Karthik's debut as a music composer in Tamil cinema.
