Baba shegal has rendered this song at ease giving the song the bass effect which is best suited for an introduction song .Ranjith and Rahul Nambiyar have done their part well. Trumphet and percussion arrangements from Thaman brings in the typical cop feel to the song.Special credits for lyricist Vaali for bringing in dynamic tamil wordings .

2.Unnale Unnale(Thaman. S, Rita)

Thaman tries to recreate the magic of his previous hits with techno voice. Reeta's part brings the melody feel to the song and makes you fall in love with this song. Starting strings reminds us of Manmadhan Ambu tune somewhere but thats all the connection. Altogether, its a right mix of melody and folk.

3.Neduvali(Rahul Nambiar, Mahathi)

Trumphet in the start of the song says it all. It is a full fledged dance number from Rahul Nambiyar and Mahati.Catchy lyrics like Dumeel dhan Daamalu dhan makes listeners to play this song many times.With Simbhu dancing for this track, this song will surely be a visual diwali treat.

4.Pondati(Simbhu)

Though the song has strong influence from Thaman's earlier hit Karupu Peraazhga , Simbhu justifies the song with his voice and simple lyrics .

5.Kalasala Kalasala(LR. Eswari, Vijaya T. Rajendar, Solar Sai)

LR Eswari makes a come back with this song along with T Rajendar . Kalasala kalasala is a folk number that will have everyone in their dancing shoes . T R's humming in the middle of the song resembles Doo da song which TR crooned earlier for Doo movie .

MUK team leaving to US

 

Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal is an upcoming romantic film directed by Elred Kumar and has Atharva and Amala Paul in the lead. The team will be leaving to US shortly to shoot some important scenes and song sequences there.They will be staying there for around 20 days to finish off the talkie portion . It is worth mentioning that Choreographer Brindha will also be making it to US along with the team. Music is composed by GV Prakash and a single track has already been released which is topping the charts .

It's no news that one of the biggest blockbusters in Anushka's career, Kodi Ramakrishna's Arundhati, is being remade in Hindi. But the recent buzz is that Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor are two of the frontrunners to play the author-backed lead in the Hindi remake.

While the film was dubbed into Tamil, a popular production house has bagged the rights to remake the film in Hindi. Now, the house is eager to rope in either Kareena and Katrina to play lead in the film, which is reportedly being directed by Anurag Basu. Earlier, we had reported how Kareena was impressed with Anushka's role in the film and was keen to reprise it in the Hindi version.

Says a source, "The poduction house is in talks with Kat and Kareena, but neither have been finalized for the role. Since Arundhati was a big hit down south, they want to go slow on the remake and make sure it also does well at the BO.

The way we moved in the sets can be clearly seen in the film itself. I liked acting in a good story with such a team. Now the shooting is over and I am missing them very much."

After all the controversies in "Bigg Boss 4" and shooting an item song, Pakistani model Veena Malik has bagged the biographical role of a sex worker.

Veena will be playing the role of sex worker Madhuri, who has been moonlighting for years to support her family.

The actress has been very quietly meeting sex workers here, particularly Madhuri, for the film "Zindagi 50-50".

"This film has changed my life and my attitude to women and sex workers in particular.

"I insisted on playing Madhuri. Koi connect hai (some connection is there)... I don't know what it was. But I instantly empathized with Madhuri's responsibilities towards her large family," Veena said.

"Maybe because I come from a family of five daughters and one son. But I understand what it feels like to be a woman in a male-dominated society. I've always supported myself, been on my own since adulthood," she noted.

Veena spent hours with Madhuri to know about her dual life.

"In the daytime she's a normal middle-class girl. In the night she puts on her burqa and goes to work in the red-light area, just like any normal working girl," Veena added.

"I loved the dignity that Madhuri brings to her life and her work. I hope I am able to convey the same dignity in my performance," Veena stated.

"Who cares about sex workers? I am appalled by the way they live in the red-light areas, not just in India but across Asia. These women deserve a much better life," felt Veena.

Aishwarya Rai, The special jury award

 

 

 

Actress Aishwarya Rai walked away with the special jury award for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Guzaarish" at the Ponds Gold Radiance Zee Cine Awards 2011 held in Singapore.

Aishwarya was honoured on Friday as the best actress (female) jury choice for her outstanding performance in the sensitive and challenging role of Sofia in "Guzaarish" that also starred Hrithik Roshan as a paraplegic patient.

The actress also performed at the event on hit numbers from "Raavan", "Action Replayy" and "Robot".

The award comes right after winning a gong for cinematic excellence for her work for the same film at the recently held Apsara Awards.

Yuvan Shankar Raja and Ilayaraja have always been director Bala's choice to compose music for his films. However, for his upcoming movie, the director has decided on GV Prakash.

When Yuvan was questioned about this, he had said that Bala wanted all the songs for the film within a week and he was not in a position to do that due to prior commitments. The music director said that the decision not to work together for this film was mutual and there were no hard feelings from both the sides.

Anushka To Pair Up with Ajith ?

 

Ajith's next heroine is likely to be Anushka who is on a high, post the rave reviews her performance in DTM received. The two are likely to do a film for Nagi Reddy's banner. Ajith will complete Billa 2 and Vishnuvardhan's next with AM Rathnam before turning his attention to this film.
