Sanjay is loving and caring as a brother: Ameesha Patel

Ameesha Patel is miffed with the buzz about her relationship with Sanjay and Maanayata Dutt going sour. Trashing the reports of the senior actor touching her inappropriately and commenting on her outfit at Rohit Dhawan's wedding in Goa, the actress maintains, "The relationship Sanjay, Maanayata and I share is too rock solid for anyone to destroy over a costume."

Dismissing stories of her questioning Dutt on his right to comment on her outfit, Ameesha states, "I'm lucky to have someone like Sanjay who is so protective and caring. He has never misbehaved with me. He's the sort of guy who doesn't want me to do films. He feels I'm too sophisticated to work in the industry, like he doesn't want his daughter to work in the industry."

The actress further says that Dutt would like to see her married to a super wealthy man and live a royal life. "He treats Maanayata like a princess. He's told me that he would like his kids and my kids to go on a holiday together," she asserts.

While Ameesha takes pride in her "sexy body" and likes to dress the way she wants, she concedes, "For Sanjay even a jeans and shirt is something he can't handle. He treats me like a sister and when I go over to his home, I should be dressed in salwar kameez. He's protective about the women in his life and he doesn't even like me to do stage shows," she says, feeling privileged that in an industry where "people don't give a damn about anyone," Dutt is "loving and caring" as a brother.

Dismissing notions about consequent issues with Maanayata, the actress counters, "If that was the case, why am I at their parties? I was at the Agneepath party 10 days ago. What was I doing there when Hrithik Roshan who's in the film was not there?"

Ameesha who is turning producer with her maiden venture this year also rubbishes reports of the actor refusing to work in her movie. "Sanjay is family and I would never take him for granted. Though if I approach him for a film, he'd never say no to me," says the actress maintaining that the script for the film to be directed by David Dhawan is not ready. "I want to correct what has happened. Something so simple has been blown out of proportion," she concludes.

Samantha fears to act again with Mahesh

New entrant to Telugu screen Samanta has jumped in ecstasy when she got an opportunity to act in the film of Mahesh Babu. She left several other chances to be part of the film as she thought it would be a big hit and take her to unimaginable heights.

But she doesn't have the same ecstasy now. While Mahesh's role is 100 percent in the film, her role was limited to just songs.

Though the scenes in which Mahesh heckles Samanta were big hits with the audience, they have hurt her apparently. "You are just six inches to the ground. If you want to see me you should lift your head as if you are looking at the first floor. What is my complexion and yours? You bird-faced girl (Yedava Pittamoham)" Mahesh says to Samanta in the film, funnily. Though the dialogues drew huge applause from the audience, Samanta is said to be really lamenting, with that 'bird face' of hers.

"Is it for this kind of role, that I have lost several opportunities for one year" she is said to be lamenting. Samanta who expected her career to sky-rocket after the release of the film, is said to be sad because of the minus report on her. She is said to be fearing to act once again with Mahesh Babu

Vikram reduced weight for Thaandavam

Vikram is sporting a fresh, new look in 'Thaandavam', his forthcoming film, being helmed by Vijay. "Within few weeks I told him to reduce some kilos, he shed weight and stood in front of me in a stunning way," says the director.

"It was when we shooting for Deiva Thirumagal, Vikram and I decided to work together again. Within few weeks, we firmed up on Thaandavam and that's how the project happened," says the 'Madrasapattinam' director, giving more details.

Stating that Vikram is playing a stylish young man in 'Thaandavam', Vijay adds: "Anushka and Amy Jackson are the two leading ladies. The story is about a man who teaches a lesson or two to those who cheated him and the society."

Produced by UTV Motion Pictures, 'Thaandavam' is taking shape fast. Plans are on to complete the shooting by next month and to release the movie for summer. G V Prakash Kumar is taking care of the music department, quite like other films of Vijay.

No nannies for Aishwarya

This new mom wants to give as much as attention as possible to her daughter before work takes her away from Beti B.

Vishnu hurt in cricket match, to undergo surgery

Actor Vishnu playing for the Chennai team in the Celebrity Cricket League tournament was badly hurt while batting in the final match in Chennai.

He stated on his micro-blogging page that he had a major fracture. 'Don't know whether to feel sad about getting hit or happy about winning. But we won and that's more important.'

He added that he would have to undergo surgery and require six weeks to recuperate.
Vishnu plays the lead in 'Neer Paravaigal' directed by Seenuramasamy and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin.

Seenu is upset and fuming. He will have to wait for Vishnu to recover before restarting the shooting.

The project has already been delayed due to the on-going tussle between the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) and the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) over the wage hike issue.

Even if the dispute is settled any time now, Seenu has to wait longer to resume the work because Vishnu will be out of action for six weeks.

He has urged the various film bodies to initiate measures to safeguard actors participating in games, especially cricket. He has expressed reservations about actors playing cricket with the real hard ball. Actors are mainly responsible for film production and so they should be more circumspect, he says.
