Sexy Nikita is seriously into religious habits?

Nikita Thukral, the sexy actress who is among the top in Sandalwood, is reportedly taking a lot of interest of late in religious matters. The actress, who debuted in the Tamil film Kurumbu and went on to act opposite the likes of Sarath Kumar and Sibiraj, is now a popular actress in Kannada films.

Sexy Nikita is seriously into religious habits?

Nikita attributes her recently found interest in religion to the 'politics' being played by the Kannada film industry. The actress, who did an 'item number' in Venkatprabhu's Saroja a few years back, was banned by Sandalwood last year as she was held responsible for the split between Kannada actor Darshan and his wife which resulted in the former attacking the latter.

However, the ban was revoked in a few days' time at the intervention of Parvathamma, wife of the late Kananda superstar Rajkumar. The crisis and the incidents which preceded and followed it, have reportedly made Nikita seek religious solace by indulging herself in more religious activities than her usual routine.

"I'm happy to have received the kind of support I had after the ban by Sandalwood last year. I feel that all working women encounter problems such as the one I faced. I wanted to get away from the 'politics' in Sandalwood and took to religious activities in a big way which made me pure and stronger mentally.

"I'm now back to work with renewed vigour and mental strength. I shall work overtime from now onwards to ensure that I'm known as an actress with substance sans any controversy," says Nikita and adds that marriage is not on the cards for her for the time being.

Mani shooting for 'Kadal'

   

 

True to the title, Mani Ratnam has been shooting in coastal areas for his much expected movie 'Kadal', which has Gautham (son of yesteryear hero Karthik) and Samantha in lead roles. We have specific details about it.

At present, Mani and his team have camped in Manapad, a coastal village in southern Tamil Nadu, 60 kilometers from Tuticorin and 18 kilometers south of Tiruchendur.

"Mani Ratnam has been shooting in the seaside and other breathtaking locations of Manapad. The local residents have been providing great help to the director. The team members are having a whale of time," informed sources say.

Arjun, Lakshmi Manchu and Aravind Samy are playing crucial roles in 'Kadal', which has music by A R Rahman. Recently, a couple of songs were recorded by the Oscar-Grammy winner, which had lyrics from one of the books penned by Vairamuthu.

Viswaroobam in Cannes Film Festival

When it comes to Kamal films there will be variety of news but as far as Viswaroobam is concerned there is no news even regarding the cast and crew. The final stage shooting of this film is going on.

Kamal has planned to screen Viswaroobam in the Cannes International Film Festival. Kamal Haasan while speaking about this said, "I felt that I should send Viswaroobam for the Cannes Festival. It is a big challenge for me to complete this film before the closing date. I have already spoken to the coordinator of the Cannes Festival Mr Christian Jean. I think I will complete this film by 15th March.

I am making lots of efforts to enter this film in the competition category. The Cannes Film Festival organizers have also assured me that they will extend the last date for the entry of films,"

Viswaroobam will be the first Tamil film which will be screened in the Cannes competition category.

Sreekar Prasad to edit Thuppakki

Thuppaki is a film which has Vijay in the lead role. This film which is being directed by A R Murugadoss has the music of Harris Jayaraj. Kalaipuli S Dhanu is producing this film.
