Vetrimaaran did just that, and succeed very much with the script of his second movie , Aadukalam . It was the first massive hit of the year and it bagged 6 national awards including Best Director and Best Screenplay for Vetrimaaran.He enjoys a good rapport with Dhanush and used his directorial skills to bring the best out of Dhanush which bagged him a National Award this year. It had an unusual rural screenplay that had 'rooster fights' as main theme and the realistic screenplay instantly clicked with the audience.The film brought out the finest performances from Dhanush, Jayabalan and other actors.
