Art director Rajeevan has erected a huge set at the Binny Mills in Chennai for Rajapattai. This set has been erected for filming the climax. Sources close to the Rajapattai team say the producers PVP Cinema has shelled out Rs. 3 crores for this climax alone. Interestingly, the budget of Rajapattai borders around 10 crores.

Suseenthiran is directing this film which is based on the land grabbing issue which is the hot topic today. Vikram plays an aspiring actor who is a gym master by profession. Deeksha Seth is his leading lady in Rajapattai and veteran director K Viswananth has donned a vital role. Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music for this film.
