She while speaking to the media said, "Chennai is my most favourite place. This is like my native place. I like all the places here. East Coast Road is my favourite spot. It will be like heaven if I travel in that road. My favourite resorts are there.

I will travel very frequently on that road. When I was growing I did not know much of cinema. I became closer to cinema after I was involved in modelling. Before coming to cinema, I have heard about only three people in cinema. They are Rajni, Kamal and Manirathnam.

They will permit me to see their films only. I can never forget the experience of seeing Rajni films on the first day. Since I have become an actress I am able to see Rajni's films in the premiere screenings. Now also I see his film as if I am seeing with the audience .

The whole world including America, Europe and Japan knows Rajnikanth. Since he lives in Chennai, the foreigners also have come to know about Chennai. Even the foreigners who do not know much about India knows Rajni. Tamil audience sees good films. They motivate new actors. They don't go back after the actors like the Telugu audience."

Rukmani's strength is her self confidence and over boldness. After Bommalattam, she acted in the film Ananda Thandavam. Now she seems to be tensed because she is acting in Rajni starrer Kochadaiyaan.

When asked her that why there is was big gap, she said, "Cinema is not important to me. Since I learnt Bharatanatyam right from my child hood days, which is my life. In between I acted in some films. After that I did not get any good films. As usual I was conducting dance programmes abroad.

Now also I have got a dance programme in America. I always feel that I should act in the roles that hav e scope for acting. I am not interested in coming and going in a film. Though I am ready to act in films, I am not getting any good films. The historical film Kochadaiyaan in which I am acting now will fetch me a good name."

He has complained that he has incurred a heavy loss because of 3. He while speaking to the media said, " I acquired the rights of 3 in Telugu which had Dhanush and Shruthi in the lead roles at a cost of Rs 4.3 Crores. Dhanush's market in Andhra is just Rs 10 Lakhs.

Many of the people advised me not to buy this film at that price. I acquired the rights at this price because I had the confidence in Rajni's family. I thought that this film will have good recognition since it was directed by Aishwarya.

Dhanush and Aishwarya assured me that they will come to Hyderabad on 1st Ap ril to promote this film but they did not come. They also promised to come for the premiere show but they did not turn up. Both of them have cheated me. The film did not do well at the box office in Andhra as expected. I have incurred a heavy loss because of this."
